Draft Detective — Terms of Use (Full Draft)
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Draft Detective (the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not access the Platform.
2. License, Not Sale
All access to Draft Detective is provided as a revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license.
You are licensing access to proprietary scouting content and tools — you are not purchasing ownership of any data, modules, rankings, or intellectual property.
3. Intellectual Property Ownership
Draft Detective owns all rights, title, and interest in:
- Player evaluations
- Rankings and composite scores
- Archetype system
- Fit Matrix
- Cognitive Profile
- Developmental Archetype
- Shot Quality Model
- Diagnostic Overlay
- Spatial IQ
- Possession Tagging
- Historical Echoes
- Maturity Index
- All other proprietary modules
- All written scouting notes
- All database structures
- All graphics, branding, and trademarks
- All code, scripts, and data models
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content
- Share login credentials
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data
- Reverse‑engineer any module or system
- Publish or leak proprietary scouting notes
- Use the Platform to build a competing product
- Train AI models on Draft Detective content
- Resell or sublicense access
- Circumvent paywalls or membership tiers
Violations may result in immediate termination of access without refund.
5. Membership Tiers & Access Rights
Draft Detective offers multiple access levels:
Free Tier
- Limited player notes
- Limited rankings
- No advanced modules
Pro Tier
- Full scouting notes
- Full rankings
- Access to select modules
- CSV exports (if enabled)
Elite Tier
- All Pro features
- Full module suite
- Fit Matrix
- Cognitive Profile
- Developmental Archetype
- Shot Quality Model
- Diagnostic Overlay
- Historical Echoes
- Additional proprietary tools
Access rights are defined by your subscription level and may change as the Platform evolves.
6. Trade Secrets & Confidentiality
The Platform contains proprietary scouting methodologies and data models that constitute trade secrets.
You agree to maintain confidentiality and not disclose any proprietary information to third parties, including teams, agents, media, or other scouts, without written permission.
7. Termination
Draft Detective may suspend or terminate your access at any time for:
- Breach of these Terms
- Unauthorized sharing or redistribution
- Attempted scraping or reverse engineering
- Abuse of the Platform
- Non‑payment
Upon termination, you must immediately stop using all content and delete any downloaded materials.
8. No Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Draft Detective does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or future performance of any player, ranking, or projection.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Draft Detective is not liable for:
- Decisions made using the Platform
- Loss of data
- Business or scouting outcomes
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Platform.
10. Payment & Refunds
All subscription fees are final and non‑refundable unless required by law.
Draft Detective may adjust pricing or tier features at any time.
11. DMCA & Copyright Enforcement
If you believe your copyrighted work has been used improperly on the Platform, you may submit a DMCA takedown request.
Draft Detective reserves the right to issue DMCA takedowns against any party that copies or republishes its content.
12. Changes to Terms
Draft Detective may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon.
